Glamorous winter flats to take you from the office to the bar

I can still remember the shoes I wore to my first and second ‘grown up’ jobs. At the time I was working as a magazine journalist and would arrive at work in strappy high heels and towering motorcycle style heeled boots. Wearing high heels to work was just something everyone at the magazine publishing house did, so I did it to.

I can’t remember exactly when my transition to flat shoes started, but nearly 10 years later and you’ll now find me heading to work wearing a pair of silver metallic brogues, black suede loafers or Stan Smith sneakers. Even though I still love high heels, it’s a rare day when I’ll slip on a pair of pointy toe stilettos. Flat shoes are just too comfortable. Too practical when you’re running for the train. And, as the latest winter flats in stores show, they’re also highly glamorous.

Check out my six favourite flats to take you from the office to after work drinks and dinner out.

  1. I’ve always liked the idea of wearing heels all day, but it’s just not practical. And I think flats have really improved on style. You have picked a great selection. I really like the Pom Pom flats from Seed. 🙂
